Short Biography
Sengondo Mvungi (born 1952) is a Tanzanian politician and member of the National Convention for Construction and Reform-Mageuzi (NCCR-Mageuzi).
Running as the NCCR-Mageuzi presidential candidate in the 14 December 2005 election with the support of four other political parties, Mvungi placed fifth out of ten candidates, receiving 55819 votes (0.43%).
Dr Mvungi sustained serious head injuries following the midnight attack last week at his residence in Kibamba Msakuzi in the city by six people believed to be armed robbers.
He was rushed to the Muhimbili Orthopaedic Institute (MOI) where he was later referred to Milpark Hospital in South Africa where he died last night.
